The Three Mew-sketeers (Part 6): All for Treats! ππ₯³πΎ
Cardinal Rich-lieu stumbled, his ginger dignity temporarily dishevelled by the surprise attack of a very excited D'Artagnan. This was the Mew-sketeers' chance! π₯πΌ
Athos, with the grace of a seasoned warrior, snatched the diamond collars from the pile of shiny objects. Porthos, ever the opportunist, grabbed a paw-full of the premium salmon treats. Aramis, with a final, disdainful look at Rich-lieu, produced a strategically placed hairball, forcing the Cardinal to recoil in disgust. π€’πΎ
"All for one, and one for all!" D'Artagnan chirped, rallying his comrades. πΎπͺ
They made their escape through the back door, leaving a fuming Cardinal Rich-lieu and a smirking Milady de Whisker in their wake. Bartholomew, still under the spell of D'Artagnan's playfulness, gave a happy bark as they streaked past, oblivious to the high drama he had just facilitated. πβπ¦Ίπ¨
Back in the Royal Apartments, the Queen was pacing anxiously. "My diamonds! My reputation! Oh, what is a Queen to do?" ππ
Just then, the four Mew-sketeers burst in, breathless but triumphant. Athos presented the recovered diamond collars to the Queen. They sparkled and glinted, a testament to their loyalty and courage. πβ¨
The Queen's eyes welled up with grateful tears. "My brave Mew-sketeers! You have saved my honor! You have saved my... accessories!" She bestowed upon each of them a royal head-bonk, the highest feline honor. π»π
As for Cardinal Rich-lieu, his plot was thwarted. The Chief Can-Opener, upon discovering the soggy purple velvet collar in the fish tank and the suspiciously fresh hairball in the neighbor's house, put two and two together. Rich-lieu was henceforth banished to the dreaded "Cone of Shame" for a week, a fate worse than any imprisonment. πππ€’
The Mew-sketeers were hailed as heroes. Their fame spread far and wide. They were granted unlimited access to the **Cloud Nine Suction Perch**, the finest sleeping spot in all the land, from which they could survey their domain and ensure the Queen's safety. βοΈπ
D'Artagnan, no longer a scrawny Gascon kitten, had grown into a fine, strapping Mew-sketeer. He still had his youthful exuberance, but now it was tempered with wisdom from Athos, the panache of Porthos, and the cunning of Aramis.
And so, in the Royal Apartments, peace reigned once more. The Mew-sketeers, united by their motto, continued their vigilant watch, ever ready to defend their Queen, their territory, and their endless supply of treats. For truly, their greatest victory was not just saving the diamonds, but ensuring that the bowls were always full. ππ
"All for one!" Athos purred, stretching out in a sunbeam.
"And one for all!" Porthos added, licking his chops.
"Especially when 'all' means 'all the treats'," Aramis concluded, with a knowing wink.
D'Artagnan simply smiled, content. His adventure had just begun. πΌβ¨
The End. Until the next adventure, of course! ππΎ
