The Wind in the Window-Box (Part 5): The Return of the Hero (to the Sill) π―βοΈπββ¬β¨π‘οΈ
The occupation of Toad Hall was a very inaesthetic affair. The stoats had used forbidden glue to stick dog-zone hair to the velvet curtains, and they were using the **Cloud Nine** perches as trampolines for their low-vibration leaps. The aura of the manor was entirely distorted. πΎποΈπ₯
Badger-Cat, the master strategist, led the friends through the secret sill-passage that ran behind the baseboards. "We must use the vertical vantage, my friends," he whispered, his claws glowing with a steel-grey static. "The stoats are floor-level thinkers. They will never expect a strike from the sky!" π¦βοΈ
They reached the Great Hall. The stoats were having a wild-whiskers rave, chasing each other around the dinner table and batting at the Resident Staff's favorite vase. Toad-Cat felt a surge of property-pride. π―π―
"To the **Sky-Climber Step Set**!" commanded Badger-Cat. "Use the silent-stick and the pounce-prep!" πͺπ§ββοΈ
The friends scrambled up the suction-mounted steps, moving with a fluid frequency that the stoats could never match. They reached the top-level ceiling circuit, looking down at the den of discord. π°β¨
"NOW!" roared Toad-Cat, his driving scarf billowing behind him like a banner of bravery. π©β‘οΈ
The friends descended like feline furies. Toad-Cat used his elastic energy to deliver a triple-twist tail-whip to the lead stoat, while the Rat-Tabby used his river-resonance to emit a hiss so powerful it caused the window-panes to vibrate. The Mole-Cat, armed with a crinkle-toy of chaos, created a sonic distraction that sent the weasels fleeing for the under-chair abyss. ππͺοΈ
The battle was short but wholesomely intense. The stoats, realizing they were outmatched by proper cat-logic, beat a retreat through the cat-flap, headed for the gutter-gully and the relative safety of the Wild Wood. πββοΈπ¨
Toad Hall was free! The friends stood together on the **Luxury Linen Sill Seat**, their auras restored to a high-vibration harmony. Toad-Cat looked at his home and realized that the "poop-poop" of the motor-car was nothing compared to the purr-purr of a victory nap with friends. π€ππ€
"I have learned," said Toad-Cat, his goggles resting on his forehead, "that a hero is not one who zooms fastest, but one who sits firmest on the sill of solidarity. And also, that heavenly salmon is much better when shared." π₯π₯β¨
