The Double-Moth Incident (Part 1): A Diplomatic Standoff πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹βš”οΈπŸ‘₯✨

The time was 21:00. πŸ•˜ The porch-lamp cinema was at peak performance. πŸ’‘πŸŽ₯ I was stationed on the top tier of the **Double Decker Skyloft**, my pupils set to target-lock mode. 🧿🌌🐾

Then, the anomaly occurred. πŸ§ͺ✨

Not one, but two identical moths landed on the screen at the same time. πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹ They were speckled graysβ€”high-speed, high-dust targets that required extreme focus. One landed in Sector Alpha, the other in Sector Gamma. πŸ“πŸ—ΊοΈ

"Divided loyalties," Arthur grunted from the sill. πŸ‘΄πŸˆβ€β¬› "The sovereign cannot watch two horizons at once, Muffin."

"I am a master of the peripheral scan, Arthur!" I snapped, my whiskers vibrating with overstimulation. πŸ“‘βš‘ "I have three hundred degrees of visual field. I can manage both."

But then, Toby scrambled up to the middle tier. πŸ§—β€β™€οΈ He saw the Sector Gamma target. His tail began a high-intensity excitement-wag, hitting me in the nose with every loop. 🚩πŸ’₯😾

"Toby, stay in your lane!" I trilled. "Sector Gamma is currently under executive audit." βš–οΈπŸ›‘οΈ

"But Boss, look at him!" Toby squeaked, his paws performing a shadow-dance against the mesh. "He’s doing the wing-flick! He’s mocking me!" πŸ¦‹πŸ˜πŸΌ

The hierarchy was breaking down. πŸ°πŸ“‰ A multi-cat household requires strict visual turn-taking, and Toby was currently in breach of the sill-sovereignty treaty. πŸ“œπŸΎ

"Arthur, intervene!" I commanded. πŸ—£οΈπŸ¦

Arthur stood up, his senior presence providing a momentary stabilization. πŸ‘΄βš“ "Toby, Muffin is the lead observer. Your duty is to provide the audio-bufferβ€”keep the human servant from entering the room and ruining the lamp-vibe." πŸ‘·β€β™‚οΈπŸš«πŸ’‘

But Toby didn't listen. The allure of the double-moth was too strong. He launched himself from the middle tier toward the glass. πŸš€βš‘

He missed. πŸ“‰

He hit the window pane with a wet thwack, sliding down the acrylic like a ginger pancake. πŸ₯žπŸ’¨ But his movement startled both moths. πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸš€

They took flight. But instead of flying away from the window... they flew around the side. πŸ πŸ’¨

They headed toward the great unprotected portalβ€”the laundry room window that didn't have a screen. 🧺πŸͺŸπŸš«πŸ›‘️

"They’re flanking us!" I howled. πŸ“£πŸš¨

We scrambled. Three cats, twelve paws, and one high-speed sprint across the hallway. πŸŽοΈπŸ’¨πŸΎπŸΎπŸΎ

We reached the laundry room just as the first moth landed on the edge of the open pane. πŸͺŸπŸ¦‹

And then, I saw the true danger. A giant black spider was already waiting in the corner of that window, its eight eyes locked on our moths. πŸ•·οΈπŸ§ΏπŸ§ΏπŸ§ΏπŸ§Ώβš”οΈ

"The third player has entered the game," Arthur whispered. πŸŒ‘πŸ°βœ¨
