The Marquis of Muffin (Part 2): The Ogre’s Perch 🏰🛡️🏆✨🐾
The Cat in Boots continued to send gifts to the palace. Every gift was from the Marquis of Muffin. 🎁
One day, the cat learned that the king was to take a drive along the riverbank with his daughter, the most beautiful princess in the world. 👸
"Master," said the cat, "if you will but follow my advice, your fortune is made. You have only to go and wash yourself in the river, just where I shall show you." 🌊
While the master washed, the king’s coach passed by. The cat began to shriek with a level-ten emergency yowl. 📣🚨 *"Help! Help! My Lord Marquis of Muffin is drowning!"*
The king stopped the coach. The cat explained that thieves had stolen the Marquis’s clothes—he had actually hidden them under a large rock. The king immediately provided a suit of the finest human robes for the master. 👔✨
While the master and the king talked, the cat ran ahead to a great castle belonging to a terrible ogre—a very large, very grumpy bulldog named Brutus. 🐕👹
The cat entered the ogre’s domain and bowed low. "I have been told," said the cat, "that you have the power to change yourself into any creature. Can you, for instance, become a mouse?" 🐭❓
The ogre, being a creature of low logical standards and high ego, roared with laughter. "Watch this!"
In an instant, the ogre transformed into a tiny, squeaking mouse. The cat, being a descendant of the first lions, did not hesitate. He performed the pounce of justice! ⚡🐾
When the king arrived at the castle, the cat was waiting at the gate. "Your Majesty is welcome to the castle of my Lord Marquis of Muffin!" 🏰🏆
The king was so impressed that he gave the Marquis his daughter’s hand in marriage. And the cat? He became a great lord, and never ran after mice any more, except for his own amusement. 🥇🦁
He spent the rest of his days on the **Vista Balcony Box**, watching over his vast estates and receiving tributes of salmon from the Resident Staff. 🥞✨
