The Tale of Peter-Pounce (Part 4)

The white rabbit in the garden was a very bold fellow. ๐Ÿฐโœจ He was currently sitting right in the middle of the "Forbidden-Patch" of catnip, nibbling on a leaf with an air of complete indifference to the feline eyes watching him from above. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿงฟ๐Ÿงฟ

"We must investigate," Peter-Pounce said, his pupils dilating until they were two obsidian pools of curiosity. ๐Ÿงฟ๐Ÿงฟ๐Ÿ”

"Investigate?" Benjamin-Bouncer scoffed. "And leave the safety of the Ladder-Tree? Have you forgotten the Mechanical Monster so soon?" ๐ŸŒช๏ธ๐Ÿ™€

"The Monster is sleeping!" Peter insisted. "And besides, we don't have to go outside. We can use the **Clear View Bubble Pod** in the Breakfast Nook. It gives a unique perspective, a 'space pod' feel, and itโ€™s right over the catnip patch!" ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿ™๏ธ๐Ÿ”ญโœจ

Benjamin hesitated, but the allure of a "unique perspective" was too much to resist. They trotted through the hallway, past the Kitchen-Bay, and into the sun-drenched Breakfast Nook. ๐Ÿพโ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿฅ

There, attached to the large picture window, was the Bubble Pod. It was a clear acrylic dome perch that jutted out from the glass, looking for all the world like a transparent bubble frozen in time. ๐Ÿซงโœจ๐Ÿ”ญ

Peter-Pounce climbed in first. It was a very strange sensation! He felt as if he were floating in the air. He could see his own paws through the bottom of the dome, and the garden looked so close he felt he could touch the leaves. โ˜๏ธ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒฟ

"Itโ€™s like being in a bubble!" Peter cried, his voice slightly muffled by the acrylic. ๐Ÿซง๐ŸŽ™๏ธ

Benjamin squeezed in beside him. The Pod was spacious enough for two kittens, and the high-load suctions held them securely. They looked down, directly into the heart of the catnip patch. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธโš“๏ธ๐ŸŒฟ

The white rabbit was still there. But from this angle, they could see something they hadn't noticed before. The rabbit wasn't just nibbling; he was *planting* something. He was using his small paws to tuck little brown seeds into the soil. ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿชด๐ŸคŽ

"Heโ€™s a Gardener-Rabbit!" Benjamin whispered. "Heโ€™s not an intruder; heโ€™s an assistant!" ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿคตโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿค

The rabbit looked up, his pink nose twitching. He saw the two kittens peering down at him from their transparent bubble. He didn't look frightened; he looked... amused. He gave a small, respectful hop and then went back to his work. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿฐโœจ

"I think," Peter-Pounce said, "that the world is full of very strange and very aesthetic surprises. One minute you're being chased by a spray-bottle, and the next you're watching a rabbit garden from a space-pod." ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’…โœจ๐Ÿซง

"Itโ€™s all about the 'View,'" Benjamin agreed, his whiskers brushing against the dome. "The **Clear View Bubble Pod** gives you a perspective that you just can't get from a standard sill. It makes everything look like a movie." ๐Ÿ”ญ๐ŸŽฌโœจ

They spent the afternoon in their bubble, watching the Gardener-Rabbit finish his task and disappear into the shadows of the hedge. The sun began to set, turning the acrylic dome into a sphere of shimmering gold. ๐Ÿซงโ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒ•โœจ

"I wonder what he was planting," Peter mused, his eyes half-closed. ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’ญ

"Probably something delicious," Benjamin replied. "But for now, I think itโ€™s time for the 'Evening-Stretch.' My legs are starting to feel a bit bubble-shaped." ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿพ

They climbed out of the Pod and headed back to the Library. Peter-Pounce felt a sense of profound contentment. He had explored the heights, survived the Monster, and made a new (if somewhat distant) friend. ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’–

But as he reached the armchair, he saw his mother, Old Mrs. Tabby-Cat, looking very stern. She was holding a blue bowtie in her mouth. ๐Ÿšซ๐ŸŽ€๐Ÿ™€
