The Great Catsby (Part 5): The Yellow Monster π‘ππ₯πͺοΈπΏ
The "Yellow Car" was actually a bright yellow Dyson, a beast of immense power and noise. π‘πͺοΈ It belonged to the Wilsons, a couple of stray cats who lived in the Garage-Valley of Ashes. ποΈ
Myrtle Wilson-Cat was a lively soul, always trying to escape the garage. She saw the yellow machine coming and thought it was a toy. She ran out to meet it. πββ¬π
*VROOOOOM!*
It wasn't a fatal accidentβthank goodness for the "No-Violence" policy of the universeβbut it was a very undignified one. Myrtle was sucked slightly into the nozzle, resulting in a very bad "Bad Hair Day" and a loss of dignity. πββοΈπ«π
Tom Purr-chanan saw it happen. He drove on (ran away). But Wilson-Cat saw the yellow machine. And he knew who it belonged to. It belonged to Catsby. π¦π‘
But Catsby hadn't been driving. It was Daisy. Daisy had knocked the "On" switch while trying to hide from Tom. πΈπΉοΈ
"I'll say I was driving," Catsby told me, standing in the moonlight outside Daisy's window. He was watching over her, protecting her from a danger that didn't exist. "I don't want her to get in trouble with the Staff." π‘οΈβ€οΈ
He waited there all night. I tried to tell him to go. I told him to use the **Reinforced Steel Fold-Away** perch I had installed for him, to fold himself away from the world. π‘οΈπ«οΈ
"They're a rotten crowd," I shouted across the lawn. "You're worth the whole damn bunch put together!" π¦π
He smiled at meβthat radiant, understanding smile. But his eyes were still on the green light, or what was left of it. He was waiting for a message that would never come. π’π΄
Ready for the finale? Catsby finds peace in the pool! Find out in Part 6! πΎβ¨
